Mr. Bernfeld is the Distressed Credit Sector Head within the Fundamental Credit Strategies team at Citadel. Prior to joining Citadel in 2018, Mr. Bernfeld served as an Associate Portfolio Manager at Elliott Associates, L.P. where, since 2008, he focused on distressed credit and private and public equity across a broad spectrum of industries. He served on the board of SemGroup Energy Partners LP as well as various private companies. Prior to Elliott he was a Private Equity Associate at Ardshiel, Inc. and an Analyst in the Mergers and Acquisitions group at Bear, Stearns & Co. Inc. He received an MBA degree with Beta Gamma Sigma Honors from Columbia Business School and received a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Mathematics from Haverford College.
Ms. Franklin is the Chief Executive Officer of Moontower Resources LLC, a private equity backed Permian Basin portfolio company, where she also serves as a member of the board of directors. In addition, she is currently on the board of Culberson Midstream JV and previously served as a director at Jones Energy II. Ms. Franklin also served as the President of Austin Women in Oil and Gas and was a member of the UT PGE External Advisory Committee. Ms. Franklin has seventeen years of experience in upstream and midstream asset management and development planning with technical expertise in operations. As an engineer and executive, she has overseen projects in the Permian Basin, Midcontinent, East Texas, Western Colorado, and offshore Angola. Ms. Franklin graduated with honors from the University of Texas with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and earned a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Texas.
Mr. Guidry currently serves as a senior adviser to Oaktree Capital and as director of portfolio companies Northstar Midstream, Caerus Oil & Gas and Blackbear Midstream. He is also currently a member of the board of oilfield service company Danos Inc. and on the board of Sky High for Kids, a nonprofit organization focused on fundraising to eradicate childhood cancer. Additionally, Mr. Guidry is on the Dean’s Advisory Board for the Louisiana State University (LSU) Honor’s College and previously served as chair of the Dean’s Advisory Board of the LSU College of Engineering. Mr. Guidry recently retired as Executive Vice President for Shell’s global Unconventionals/Shales business based in Houston, TX. Concurrently, he completed his term as Chair of the API Upstream Committee. Mr. Guidry has over 37 years of experience in the areas of well engineering, reservoir engineering and operations management and his career at Shell included roles as an Exploration, Development and Asset Manager in the Gulf of Mexico as well as Planning and Strategy Manager for Shell's U.S. upstream business. Mr. Guidry was based in The Hague from 2009-2013 and led Shell’s upstream business in eight European countries and was responsible for Shell’s midstream gas supply operations in 19 countries. From 2007 to 2009, Mr. Guidry was based in Calgary and worked on the integration of Shell Canada’s exploration and production activities into global Shell’s upstream business. Mr. Guidry subsequently led Shell’s onshore oil and gas production activities for the whole of North America onshore. He holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and is a registered professional petroleum engineer in Louisiana.
Mr. Hailey joined Bain Capital Credit in 2014 where he leads investments in the energy industry. He also serves on the board of Enven Energy Corporation. Previously, Mr. Hailey has held roles in energy private equity and investment banking. Most recently, he was Vice President at Cadent Energy Partners, an energy-focused private equity firm. Mr. Hailey received degrees in Business Honors and Plan II Honors at the University of Texas.
Mr. Hassler is President of United Energy Partners, LLC, a consulting, advisory and asset development firm. Mr. Hassler has more than 35 years of experience and success across the renewables, oil & gas, pipeline, storage, marketing, and trading segments of the energy industry. Mr. Hassler’s broad areas of expertise include business development, asset development, asset optimization, change management, commodity markets, M&A, and risk management. Previously, Mr. Hassler held executive positions at Antero Resources, Pennaco Energy, Xcel Energy, RBS/Sempra Commodities and Barrett Resources. Mr. Hassler started his career as a Petroleum Engineer at Questar Corporation. Mr. Hassler holds both BS and MS degrees in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Wyoming and an MBA from Westminster College. He currently sits on the Boards of Denver Academy and Mount Saint Vincent Home and previously held Advisory Board positions with Magnum Development, Foro Energy, Altamont Energy Corporation, and the University of Wyoming College of Engineering.
Mr. Suter is a Portfolio Manager and Head of Physical Gas at Citadel Energy Marketing (CEM), a provider of natural gas risk management services to clients in the US and Canada. CEM is part of the Commodities business at Citadel, one of the world’s leading alternative investment managers. Mr. Suter joined Citadel in 2014 and has nearly three decades of experience in the natural gas industry, having served as Managing Director of Physical Asset Acquisition at Freepoint and as Head of Natural Gas at RBS Sempra/Societe Generale. He began his career at Questar and Barret Resources and received a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing from Westminster College.
